Honda Australia has announced the just-released CMX Rebel 500 launched in Long Beach, California, will arrive here in early 2017 as a learner-approved motorcycle. That is unusual because Honda Australia has been pretty slow and conservative about bringing in quirky new releases such as the Grom and X-ADV scooter.
The Honda Rebel is a line of bikes that has been manufactured on and off since 1985. The Honda Rebel 500 was first introduced in Long Beach California in November 2016 before it started being sold in the spring of 2017. It is a cruiser style bike featuring a 471-cc engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, available with or without ABS.
First, their low seats and manageable nature makes them very popular with many new riders, especially women or those of a shorter stature. While, second, cruisers, bobbers, customs, call them what you will, are once again back in fashion.
