Depending on your budget, 32gb at 3200mhz makes everything feel lightning fast and is well worth it imo. 16gb is enough for light tasks and heavy gaming. Eventually, we will see the need for more than 16gb of ram, but thats still a long ways off from now. I would say 4x8gb of Corsair Vengeance or Dominator if you have the budget for either, but
I'm planning on using it with a Ryzen 5 5600X (or non-x if/when it comes out) and a 6800XT, but I know ram is less important the higher the resolution is and I'm planning on playing at 1440p and maybe 4k a bit, so is there a less expensive kit of 2x8 GBs of ram I should look at getting instead? 16 GB should be enough. Usually 16GB of ram is enough. 8GB is the MINIMUM. If you see your game is truly lacking performance and you know its your ram, then investing in better ram is 100% worth it. even if it means getting a new motherboard. also 3200mhz is a pretty good ram speed and if you can get 3600mhz. trident z rgb or neo are very good ram sticks and i recommend then.
