Go into the camera's menu and disable Wi-Fi. A USB connection won't work when Wi-Fi is active. Connect by USB and launch EOS Utility 3, then select REMOTE SHOOTING on the camera. On the window that comes up, not the camera menu, look for the LIVE VIEW SHOOT button.
EOS Remote is a free application for convenient remote shooting, image browsing, and other operations on Canon EOS digital cameras with Wi-Fi functionality. As you view live images from the camera in EOS Remote, you can remotely set the focus, adjust shooting values, and release the shutter. You can also browse images on the camera's memory
Pressing the camera's < > (Live View shooting) button will also display the Live View image on the camera's LCD monitor, allowing you to view the image while controlling the camera. NOTE You can shoot by operating the capture window, even if the [Remote Live View window] is not displayed.
While replaying the photo, I press the INFO button twice. First time gives me the Basic Shooting Display, but pressing again does not give me the more detailed Shooting Information Display, which includes the hologram. It simply reverts to the bare photo display. 3. I am NOT shooting in Live view and pp. 388-392 of the manual makes it very clear
I am having issues when using live view on my Canon 70D. I am able to access live view; however, when I push the shutter button (either the button itself or on the touch screen), the camera stops working completely and I have to turn it off and back on. At first, this was intermittent, however, it has gotten worse. I am using fully charged
Also come to find out, there is no servo mode while the camera is in movie mode. Which it is required to be in for the EOS webcam utility to work properly. It just seems there are no video recording options that allow me to use autofocus automatically raher than using the shutter button. 1. snipsnaps1_9.
